Class Blog Assignment

Page history last edited by IPT287 Instructor 14 years, 2 months ago

In order to build our community of practice and get involved with the issues in our field, each group will need to research current issues in their respective disability groups.  For example, in the field of autism, are vaccines linked to autism?.  Here is an article that will give you an idea of how I envision our class blog.  Please read it.  If you want to review the video about blogging, then view Blogging in Plain English.

You will need to search the Internet for blogs or forum groups that are discussing these issues.  Research an issue and describe the issue to the class, list the pros and cons.  Include websites and resources that you found.

Post a question to the class and ask for each class members' opinion,  Do you agree or disagree with the issue? what is your opinion?    You will need to post the question by Friday evening.  Each class member will have until Tuesday to respond.  For instance, if you sign up for January 20 posting.  You  will have until January 22 by midnight to post the question and the rest of the class will have until January 25 to respond.

On the week that you post an issue, you do not need to respond to the post.

Each person will be responsible for 1 posts (15 points)  See the Class Blog Rubric for the criteria.

Each class member will be responsible for 11 post replies (5 points each for reply for a total of 55 points).  See Class Blog Rubric for the criteria.

You need to maintain 55 points on this assignment to maintain your A.
